CPTC Welcomes 8th Set of Students from China

(Second on the L to R) An Dongy, Chen Lei, Yu Wenhao, Lie Boan, Liu Geli, all students from Civil Aviation Flight University in China who are studying at CPTC pose with Charles Maurer (far left) and Greg Doyon (far right), CPTC faculty members.

During the Spring Quarter of 2013, Clover Park Technical College welcomed its eighth group of students from Civil Aviation Flight University of China into our Aviation Maintenance Technician Program at the South Hill Campus in Puyallup.

They are sophomores and juniors at CAFUC, and upon graduation from CPTC, they will return to China and earn their Bachelor’s degree from the university.

In China there have been significant and rapid changes in the civil aviation industry, and the demand for aircraft maintenance technicians qualified to work on airplanes of foreign airlines continues to grow rapidly. CPTC’s partnership with CAFUC started in 2008, and to date, nineteen CAFUC students have graduated from our AMT program. After returning to China, they were able to get employment at FedEx, China Airlines and Hainan Airlines, to name a few.

We currently have twenty Chinese students studying in the program.

Please give them a warm welcome!
