Fundraising event benefits Culinary Arts students at
Clover Park Technical College
The Tacoma/ South Puget Sound
Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives is presenting its
second annual, "Fantastic Basket" auction and dinner on Thursday, Oct.
27 from 5:30 pm. to 9:00 p.m. at the McGavick Conference Center, at Clover
Park Technical College.
The event benefits the CPTC Culinary Arts
program, the NACE Foundation, and the Tacoma / South Puget Sound NACE
Chapter Education fund.
"Join us for a night of delicious food, networking
and fun," says Nems Scarim, fundraising chair. "This is a wonderful
opportunity to help the culinary students fund their education, and to help
grow into our up-and-coming culinary arts professionals," says
Scarim, founder of Three Chicks Catering in Tacoma.
Guests will receive five tickets that
they can use to choose their favorite themed basket, worth hundreds
of dollars. Tickets are drawn to award the basket to the winner. Other
fun activities include a wine grab, junk jewelry sale, live auction
for a few items, and a dessert auction.
Event tickets include dinner and five raffle tickets for the basket
drawings.
